What We Want To Achieve

Since science remains largely a male-dominated field, the lack of accessible role models makes young girls shy away from realising and actualising their full potential. In India, most women drop out early from schools because of stereotypes or family problems. Even if they make it far enough to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, they opt out of research careers.

At the core of WoMentor. lies the realisation that woman’s perspective on design, code, and innovation is being lost- crucial perspectives are being lost. To bridge this expanding gendered divide, it’s imperative to change the narrative around women in STEM careers and provide accessible role models.

WoMentor Connect Series

WoMentor’s series of webinars on professions in Science by professionals in Science- WoMentor. Connect. Through the WoMentor. Connect series, we intend to act as a link between established women in academia & industry and the young students, who lack the contacts & resources to procure their guidance. We wish to iterate the fact that the sectors that imagine, design, build and code for our future need not essentially be just engineering and medicine- other avenues of science make lasting contributions too.

We attempt to revolutionise the storytelling of women in STEM. The purpose of this series is to not only create conversation about the challenges that women face in STEM-related fields but also to provide accessible role models to young girls.

Please note: the webinars and all other services are entirely free of cost.
